Dear <PREFERRED_FIRST_NAME>:
We are writing you this letter because we care about you and your academic success and want to help you continue and graduate from Colorado State University. You are receiving this letter because your cumulative GPA continues to be less than a 2.00, the required GPA of all undergraduates in good academic standing at Colorado State University. You continue to be in the second term of the probation process, and to move out of the probation process and return to good academic standing, your cumulative GPA after Fall 2023 semester needs to be a 2.0 or above. If your cumulative GPA continues to be below a 2.0, you will proceed to academic dismissal.
The experience of past students shows that discussion with advisors and other student support services on campus contributes positively to academic growth and student success. We are reaching out to you to provide you with support in locating and using such services.
There are many reasons why a student is in the probation process and we are committed to helping you find resources to be academically successful. We strongly encourage you to connect with your academic advisor to develop a plan for academic success. Contact information for your academic advisor is available on RAMweb or by contacting your academic department.
You can also meet with the Collegiate Success Coach, DJ Hightower, to discuss needed support. You can schedule an appointment with DJ at: https://academicadvocacy.colostate.edu/probation/success-coaching/ or email if you have any questions about academic probation.
studentsuccess_scholasticstandards@mail.cololostate.edu if you have any questions about academic probation.
We look forward to working with you and are confident that using these resources will help you in achieving your academic goals. We look forward to one day helping you celebrate your graduation from CSU. Remember, Rams take care of Rams!
Sincerely,
Sean P. Wernert-Eighmy
