Dear <PREFERRED_FIRST_NAME>:
As the semester comes to an end, we want to acknowledge your efforts in working to improve your academic standing this semester. We know that there are unique challenges you have been managing while focusing on your academic success, and we want to encourage you to continue to utilize your strengths, community, and available resources to finish the semester strong.
We want to share options and resources available to proceed successfully with your CSU career. If you are concerned that your cumulative GPA will not increase above 2.0 at the end of this semester, we encourage you to submit an academic dismissal appeal, which will grant you an additional semester in the probation process if approved.
Final Fall grades will be available on RAMweb on May 17, 2023; however, we encourage you to submit your dismissal appeal before the end of the semester. If you submit an appeal and your cumulative GPA is at or above 2.0 when grades post, your appeal will no longer need to be considered.
To submit a dismissal appeal, please review the appeal guidelines and submit an appeal by Thursday, May 25 at noon (mountain time). Late appeals will not be accepted.
Your appeal must include a personal statement, relevant supporting documentation, plus a thoughtful plan of action outlining the steps you are taking to improve your academic performance and resources you are utilizing to support your success. If you need assistance with your dismissal appeal, please contact your academic advisor or email us at studentsuccess_scholasticstandards@mail.colostate.edu.
Appeal results will appear on the dismissal appeal website after 3pm on Friday, June 2, 2023. A text alert and letter notifying you of the decision will also be sent to the email address you have designated on RAMweb. You can contact our office at studentsuccess_scholasticstandards@mail.colostate.edu if you have questions about the appeal.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions about the dismissal appeal process and your options. We are here as a resource to support your success.
Sincerely,
Sean P. Wernert-Eighmy

Estimate your cumulative GPA at the end of the semester. If you believe that you will not earn the 2.0 cumulative GPA needed to regain good standing, consider submitting a dismissal appeal.

You will be dismissed at the end of this semester as a regularly enrolled student if you fail to earn a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater. We encourage you to submit your dismissal appeal as soon as possible. Appeals will not be accepted after the due date.
