Dear <PREFERRED_FIRST_NAME>:
We are writing you this letter because we care about you and your academic success and want to help you continue and graduate from Colorado State University. You are receiving this letter because your cumulative GPA continues to be less than a 2.00, the required GPA of all undergraduates in good academic standing Colorado State University. The experience of past students shows that discussion with advisors and other student support services on campus contributes positively to academic growth and student success. We are reaching out to you to provide you with support in locating and using such services.
Due to the adjustment of academic policies based on the coronavirus pandemic for Spring 2020, your academic status continues to be on the second term of probation and has not progressed to academic dismissal. To regain good academic standing, your cumulative GPA after Fall semester 2020 needs to be a 2.0 or above. If your cumulative GPA continues to be below a 2.0, you will proceed to academic dismissal.
There are many reasons why a student is in the probation process and we are committed to helping you find resources to be academically successful. We strongly encourage you to connect with your Academic Success Coordinator/Academic Advisor to develop a plan for academic success. Contact information for your Academic Success Coordinator/Academic Advisor is available on RAMweb or by contacting your academic department.
You may also want to schedule an appointment to talk with our Collegiate Success Coach, Juan Rivas. Not only is he a coach, he also produces a podcast about student success- ask him about it! You can contact Juan Rivas by calling 970-491-7095 or by email at Juan.Rivas@colostate.edu.
Additionally, we suggest you research and review the many valuable resources available to you to improve your GPA, including information on tutoring and study skills online at http://outreachandsupport.colostate.edu/academic-resources/.
We look forward to working with you and are confident that using these resources will help you in achieving your academic goals. We look forward to one day helping you celebrate your graduation from CSU. Remember, Rams take care of Rams!
Sincerely,
Gaye G. DiGregorio,
