Email Message
As you may know, a very sophisticated and dangerous email scam, known as a “phish,” has targeted CSU students, faculty and staff.

From logs provided to us by Google, we know that your @rams account received this nefarious email.

While we don’t have the ability to know exactly who clicked that link, because of the seriousness of this matter, and out of an abundance of caution, we are requiring everyone who received that message to reset their eID password and their password-recovery questions.

To assure you of the authenticity of this message, you may also log into RAMweb and find a password-reset warning; everyone who is receiving this email will see a warning in RAMweb. Additionally, we are sending a RAVE text alert to you.

It's a security best practice to NEVER CLICK LINKS in emails, so instead of giving you URLs to click, here are the steps to safely navigate to the eID website.

To change your eID password and Password Help questions on CSU's eID web site:
1). Use a web browser and go to the CSU homepage
2). Click Resources near the top
3). Click ‘eID' in the list of links under Current Students (or click ‘e’ in the A-Z list near the top and scroll to ‘eID’)

This is the eID web site.
a). Click "Change ePassword" under the "Modify your eID” menu on the top and set a new password, and
b). Click "Change Forgotten Password Help Info," also under the "Modify your eID menu" on the top of the eID web site, and enter new answers there.

Let us know if you have any questions.
