Dear <PREFERRED_FIRST_NAME>,
You are receiving this letter because you enrolled in the GUEST program at Colorado State University during the Spring 2023 semester. GUEST students are required to achieve a semester grade point average of *2.00 or higher* in order to remain eligible to enroll in the following Fall or Spring semester’s GUEST program. Additionally, previously *dismissed students must earn a term GPA above a 2.00* in order to make academic progress and continue in the GUEST program. Because your Spring 2023 semester GPA was below a 2.00, OR, as a dismissed student you did not earn above a 2.00, you will *not be allowed to register as a GUEST* student for the Fall 2023 semester. However, you would be able to apply and register as a GUEST student for the Spring 2024 semester. Information about GUEST program policies and procedures can be found at https://admissions.colostate.edu/guest/.
Your options at Colorado State University at this time are attending CSU Online (https://www.online.colostate.edu) and/or CSU Summer Session (https://Summer.colostate.edu/). Taking courses through these programs can help you repair your cumulative grade point average, particularly if you take advantage of CSU’s “repeat/repair” policy in selecting courses through those programs. Attending a community college may also be a good alternative for you at this time.
If you have any questions, please email studentsuccess_scholasticstandards@mail.colostate.edu or you can schedule an appointment DJ Hightower, Collegiate Success Coach by emailing him at dj.hightower@colostate.edu. We will be happy to discuss academic resources with you and assist you in your academic endeavors.
Sincerely,
